Fladen Flotation Suit – FISHMAG Reports

Fladen’s flotations suits come in at a much more reasonable price than most on the market, and are substantial waterproof layers that keep out spray and wind. In the image below is the two-piece version, which gives you the option to remove the coat if you get too warm. The two-piece is more versatile in this regard for year-round use.

Compared to a raincoat and waterproof leggings, the extra padding and layering makes a huge difference to comfort. It’s an ideal winter layer for night fishing sessions.

Whilst we didn’t float-test the suit, we can confirm that the suit provides another level of protection from the elements compared to anything we’ve ever worn before.

The most fantastic thing about these suits is that they open up the number of days you can go fishing. On days with a bite in the air or battering rain, you’re not going to last long without proper protection. The comfort inside one of these will increase the number of fishing days in a year, particularly in the British climate.

Whilst we have not tested the suit for safety / flotation, we can comment on it in terms of comfort, wind and waterproofing. In that regard I’d recommend this for any beach angler that wants a big level up from regular waterproofs.
