Trying out YETI coolers for sea fishing in the UK

Well, oily fish like mackerel start to spoil quickly – within just a few hours. Putting any fish straight onto ice is the best way to preserve freshness – even in the mildest of English summers!

We also liked having our drinks ice cold, even after hours in the sun.

The fish were delicious that evening over the fire. It’s something special to catch fish and share them with mates…

It was a luxurious touch to be able to use the YETI as a seat also – both while fishing and while eating together.

It was like having a beer out the fridge, only from the rocks.

We discussed how the cooler would be perfect for longer camping weekends, when you don’t have access to a fridge for storing your catch.

On this occasion, we used the YETI for storing beers on the way there, and fish on the way back. There was room for a lot more.

Definitely a luxurious piece of kit for the sea angler for weekend trips, for those that want a seat while float fishing or for anyone that simply wants to keep their bait, their drinks and their food ice cold year round.
